organizations in the country.
The Cebu Stamp Club, Inc. (CSCI)
was conceptualized by philatelist Richard Allan Uy in 1996 and was
officially registered as a non-stock, non-profit civic-leadership stamp
corporation by the SEC on January 30, 1997. CSCI is the first and only
registered stamp organization in Cebu including the whole of Visayas and
Minadanao. It has members all around the world, some of whom are
recipients of the benefits of membership. These benefits include:

Journal - the official news magazine
published every quarter and given free to all members otherwise called
as CSCI Stampers

a philatelic guide for beginners and advance collectors published
bi-monthly and also given for free

The Good
company - of like-minded collectors
where philatelic ideas are shared and disseminated

Exchanges - which enables the stamp
collector to increase his collections by exchanging duplicates through
the Exchange Box or to other fellow members

Lectures -
which are occasionally held to enable members to learn more about the
hobby

Opportunity to
join exhibits and competitions - and win
awards.CSCI encourages and teaches the members to display their
collections and win prizes during their annual STAMPSHOW every June
12, and during the SUGBU-PEX every November. Members will also have a
chance to compete in regional competitions hosted by the Philippine
Postal Corporation Region 7 or national and international competitions
hosted by the Philippine Philatelic Federation, Inc.

worldwide stamps and philatelic items

TRES
DE ABRIL STAMP
CSCI is proud to
initiate the first Cebu-proposed stamp issued by the Philippine
Postal Corporation. The stamp, The Centennial of the Tres de
Abril Uprising came out on June 12, 1998 to form part of the
Centenary of Philippine Independence Series 6 Souvenir Sheet.
The design was
done by Cebuano artist, Jose “Kimsoy” Yap Jr. commissioned
by the Cultural and Historical Affairs Commission (CHAC).

To become a member:

Simply attend the
meetings which is every second Sunday of the month at 2:00 - 4:00 PM,
RM 216 CTS Bldg., University of Cebu, Sanciangko St., Cebu City.

Ask for an application
form and fill up.

Bring along one 1X1 and
two 2x2 pictures so that the membership card can be processed at once.

Pay the annual
membership fee of:

Members approved from
January to September must automatically renew their membership between
January to March of the succeeding year.
Members approved from
October to December will be given three-month bonus and will renew their
membership on January of the second following year.

write to the Cebu Stamp Club at P.O. Box address and enclose a
self-addressed stamped envelope so an application form will be sent.
Affiliate Stamp Clubs (ASC’s)
CSCI grants affiliations to
school clubs all over the country. Schools in Cebu are given free
membership while those outside Cebu are required to pay an annual
affiliation fee of P250.
