Visayas and Mindanao form a beeline to the Queen City where the best
schools outside Metro manila are located.

schools), over 1,000 private and public elementary schools and 203
secondary schools. It is also houses an international schools designed
to accommodate foreign curricula for
primary, secondary and tertiary levels.

education in Cebu normally begins at the age of five. The child goes
through a three-tiered educational process. Pursuing elementary school
takes up sis to seven years for most children, excluding preparatory
school. Secondary education lasts for four years, after which graduates
usually aged 16 to 17 take formal college schooling for another four to
five years, or vocational schooling for two to three years.
For labor
– The human dimension behind the prestigious mark “Made in Cebu”
is one of the most significant denominator behind Cebu’s economic
growth. The sustained progress of the province therefore depends on the
quality of its people’s work attitude and craftsmanship, their
commitment to self-reliance and productivity.
More of
the population depended on agriculture, while some relied on industry.
Majority of cebuano employees in industry and commerce avail of lump-sum
earnings from related bonuses such as holiday bonus or 13th
month pay at the end of the year. The counterpart contribution of
employers to Social Security and Medicare is determined according to
fixed rates based on the employees’ compensation.
Labor
productivity in the region is one of the highest in the country.
