Dr. Mila C. Espina
An Editor Dr. Mila C. Espina, an alumna of Maryknoll College, University of Sto.
Tomas and
university of San Carlos, finished Master of Arts in Literature and doctor of Education
major in English, cultural Anthropology and Communication. She took special course
in Language teaching and writing at East West Center, Honolulu Hawaii and a special
program in Education. She took up enrichment courses in theater and public speaking.
Dr. Espina was editor-in-chief of UST Journal of Education
in 1959-60; was editor of OAR Journal of Education (USJ-R) and presently writes in
Sun-Star Daily, is contributing editor Sun-Star Travel, and writes for What's On Visayas
Mindanao and Women's Journal.
Dr. Mila Espina is presently dean of the college of Arts
and Sciences and Graduate School, Arts and Sciences, University of San Jose-Recoletos
where she teaches Development Communication, Effective Communication, Journalism and
Theater Arts in USJ-R; proprietress and CEO of Speechcom Training Center; Commisioner,
Cebu City Tourism Commision; Vice-President Central Visayas, Press Corps; Pro-Consul at
large, Cebu City, Vice-President, American Chamber of Commerce; Past
Vice-President-Membership, Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry; trustee of CENEWOF,
PUNLA Inc., Philippines Foundation and We Care Foundation.
