Born to become a basketball player, Cebu Gems pointguard Michael "mike" Manigo is 25 years old from Davao City.

This 5’9" and 150-lb. guy graduated at MAHTS in Davao both in his elementary and secondary. Since elementary, Mike was already a basketball varsity player and was known for its versatility in basketball. He planned to study in Cebu and fortunately took Computer Science at Cebu Doctors College. While in college, students look up to him because of his performance in different school activities. When he tried out for Cebu Doctors College Basketball varsity team know as the "White Stallion", he had no idea he will be chosen. During the CAAA games, Mike was very hot on the court but little did we notice that his contributions to the team made him more qualified to be at Cebu Gems.

The fourth child of Mr. Clemente and the late Mrs. Erlinda Manigo, Mike serves as the breadwinner of the family and so he doesn’t have time to venture into nightlife. For Mike, his greatest gift in life is when he brought his brothers and sisters together. A firm decision-maker, Mike believes that whatever decision he makes, he makes it a point that it will do well for him at the same time to the people surrounding him. All his achievements, he thanks God for it because he knows that he only borrow his talent to the real owner who is our only creator. Even before and after the game, Mike doesn’t learn to forget to pray for his safety at the court.

"Friendly" as most people could describe him, Mike’s only advice to aspiring cagers is to have discipline and lastly, always pray to God.
