Gaisano South

This is everybody’s store. People grew up shopping in the south.

Gaisano South is the most under-rated department store, and has remained the department store that is, not the mallish (read: a mall wannabe) kind. This, despite the changes it has had through the years.

For starters, the merchandise is, unbelievably, very affordable, and like how a “diva” friend puts it, so down-to-earth. And take note, they are always on sale.

In every season, for example. There, one can still find an all seasons gift ---for mom, dad, brother and sister---that will cost you less than a hundred pesos, a welcome respite indeed. In fact, if there is a madness sale, wherein 50-70% will be slashed off from the original prices of items.

Although Gaisano South is located off-center in Colon Street, a lot of people still troop to this shopping mecca in the south. And why not when they could always come as they are.
